Question by Patrick Lubbers · Jan 11, 2017 at 01:23 PM · zero clientspcoip management consolepcoip technical support service

Connecting to Endpoint Manager: 127.0.0.1:5172

Hi,

When autodiscovering the PCOIP MC, the management status becomes: Connecting to Endpoint Manager: 127.0.0.1:5172

DNS discovery is successfull and the Endpoint Bootstrap manager Address and Fingerprint displayed in the P25's webpage (Configuration => Management) are correct.

To me it seems that the ZC is trying to connect tot "localhost" as this is the hostname in de SSL certificate.
What am i missing to configure this to be PCOIPMC2.mydomain.ext?

Patrick try this...

127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 pcoipmc2
::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6 pcoipmc2

Exactly as shown. As long as you have a DNS A record set for pcoipmc2

Patrick it is one of two issues 1) check out your hosts file at /etc/hosts or 2) you do not have a DNS A record set for the MC.

Hi @Paul, thanks for the quick reply!
I had a Host record present and added an A Record with the same info. (We use Infoblox)

What should my Hosts file like like? I have added a screenshot of mine.

@Paul Barrett

I'll give it a go, so no pcoipmc2.mylocaldomain.local in there?
