Question by Alexandr Shavlov · Mar 02 at 09:49 AM ·

Disconnections on zero clients

Zero clients are connected directly to workstations (without a switch) - Derect to Host + Direct from Client. Sometimes there was a disconnection of zero clients without repeated auto-connect (on zero-client we see "You have been disconnected"). Before that, there were no such problems with a similar connection. The option «Prefer Master for Auto-Negotiation» set on. In the log we see a lot of messages "MGMT_SYS :Session lost!". What else can we try to do?

Hi @Alexandr Shavlov

Have you tested with a switch?

Officially, Teradici does not support your configuration (no switch between the endpoints). The PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Admin Guide states: "While zero clients and remote workstation cards can be configured to be directly connected via a no-IP network (a cable connecting both units together with no switch in between), it is not a configuration that is supported by Teradici. For more information see KB 1297".

Thanks,

Slaven

Have you tested with a switch?

No, because it's technically difficult now on a running system. And we already tried to follow the recommendations of this article. Previously, such a scenario did not lead to problems, so I would like to understand whether the problem is only in a direct connection.

Is direct connection supported if we will use Zero\card in fiber (SFP) version?
