Question by Paul Willis · Oct 30, 2018 at 11:24 PM ·

Monitors are flipping resolution on client side when I go '. 2240 Card

Hello,

HOST SETUP: I am using a 2240 Teradici card on my host computer. My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1080ti. I'm running DisplayPort to miniDisplayPort cables from my graphic card ports to the teradici card. port 1 to port 1 and port2 to port2. I have host software installed.

CLIENT SETUP: I am using Teradici Software Client (current 3.7 version). My video card is GeForce 1070ti. Port 1 is connected to 27Asus with 2560x1400 resolution. Port 2 is connected to 27LG33 1920x1080 monitor.

ISSUE: The card works great. If I fullscreen to one monitor, it defaults to my Asus 2560x1400 monitor as it should, and everything looks great. When i select "Full Screen All Monitors", it flips resolution and puts the 1920x1080 resolution on my big screen (appears as a box in the middle of screen) and tries to display my 2560x1600 on my LG1080 monitor.

If I log into the IP address of my Host Teradici card, and look at connected devices, I can see it happen. If just using full screen for one monitor, it shows only one connected device on Port 1: Asus 2560x1400. When i switch to both monitors, it bumps the Asus to port 2 and puts the LG in port 1 position.

I've tried swapping port positions on my video card on both the host side and the client side to try and 'trick it', i guess. lol. No luck.

I talked to Brandt quickly on the phone...was a very helpful...but asked me to post to forum since I don't have a support contract. He also asked me to include the event log. So I will attach it here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Paul

@Paul Willis

What is the resolution your expecting on the Client monitors and what is the actual resolution they come up at.

Do they only flip once or is reoccurring.

Thanks, Grant.

My port 1 (main monitor) should be 2560x1400 and port 2 (second monitor) should be 1920x1080. I will attach two screen shots so you can see the difference between what 'connected devices' window does when i go from Full screen-one monitor to Full Screen -All Monitors.

Hi Grant, I made that switch....1080ti Port B to Ter2240 Port 1 and 1080ti Port C to Ter2240 Port 2. It didn't seem to make any difference. In fact, now when I try the Full Screen All Monitors, my main screen is 1920x1080 but my right screen is just gray. Hmmm.

I appreciate your help with this.

THIS WAS SOLVED. New thing...now, for some reason, my cursor is stuck on arrow and won't change to other icons in any other applications. Everything still working in my Teamview software so it seems connected to our other problem. I'll try restarting the computer too.
